CAT Yoga is a practice designed to counteract the strain and tension caused by our modern, forward-reaching lifestyles—think hours spent at desks, looking at screens, or carrying heavy bags. By focusing on restoring balance and alignment in the body, this method uses targeted exercises and props to release deep muscle tension, improve posture, and enhance mobility. Through mindful movement and awareness, CAT Yoga helps undo the effects of poor posture and repetitive strain, allowing you to move more freely, breathe deeply, and feel better in your everyday life.

Jennifer Strukoff - Lead Teacher Trainer

For Jennifer's first Mother's Day in 2005, she was gifted a spot at an Ashtanga yoga workshop. This was different from any practice she had attended before: they practiced the familiar asanas, but they were placed in a greater spiritual context that included breathing techniques, some philosophical discourse, and even Sanskrit chanting! This workshop changed her life.
These new experiences galvanized her commitment to her own practice, to help others to have that same coming-home feeling, and has provided a deep fulfillment she wouldn’t expect to experience from any other career. Jennifer is always on the lookout for more opportunities to learn—while she became certified to teach yoga in the summer of 2009, she is also a pre-natal yoga teacher, certified to guide Yoga Nidra and Yin Yoga and has completed all four levels of the Critical Alignment Therapy instructor’s course.
Jennifer has helped countless students move out of pain using the Critical Alignment method and she would like students to walk away from her classes with a smile on their faces and a new awareness in their bodies. She hopes that they feel a strong connection to the Light in their heart and have created stillness of the mind. In summer 2022, Jennifer completed the Massage Therapy course at Mount Royal University and currently practices in Calgary, Chestermere and Langdon.

Marnie Harfield - Guest Teacher

Marnie has always had an appreciation for body movement. Although never classically athletic, her childhood was filled with dancing and skiing, her 20s were spent as a fitness trainer, and the years beyond were dedicated to long-distance running—without stretching. Yoga was first introduced to her in the early 90s, and by 2001, it became a regular part of her physical practice. However, like many, it wasn’t just the physical benefits that kept her coming back—it was the peace and calm yoga brought to her life off the mat. With a BSc., ERYT500 certification, and Level IV Critical Alignment Therapy training, she remains deeply inspired by the therapeutic benefits of yoga, particularly Critical Alignment Yoga & Therapy, which continue to influence her practice, teaching, and ongoing studies.
