We Alter. We Adapt. We Persevere.
Today we woke up to a new reality, a reality that will test the essence of who we are as people and as community. We write to you today as members of this community with a deep desire to do what we can to support our community.
We have decided to shift our class offerings entirely online starting on Monday.
Gratefully there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 in the YogaMCC community; yet it is becoming increasingly clear that all of us will be affected directly or indirectly. We are doing what we believe is the responsible thing to do as owners of a business where many people gather. Amidst rapidly changing conditions, we can play an active role in slowing down the spread of COVID-19 by proactively gathering online instead of in person. We believe we must be proactive instead of reactive.
With a deep dedication to providing access to our classes, we are making this shift swiftly to come together online to maintain social distancing as well as connection during these times.
What this means for you, our beloved community:
THE SPACE STILL HOLDS YOU
Although there will be no in-person classes at YogaMCC for now, our teachers and staff will be working hard to continue to support you the best way they can. We look forward to having you back on site.
WHAT IS THE COST OF THE DROP-IN CLASSES?
These classes will all be streamed online for free as we believe at this time making classes as accessible as possible is the best way of supporting our community at this time. If you are enjoying the online content we are able to provide and you are in a position to pay, we will be accepting it with gratitude. Ways you can pay for the online content is by keeping your memberships active and using passes though our MindBody platform. You can also make a donation by e-transfer to email@example.com. This is uncharted territory and can be scary for self-employed people, like our beloved teachers, and small business owners who don’t get E.I. and often can’t rely on government assistance. Please know that all of our devoted staff and teachers will continue to be supported financially and vocationally by YogaMCC to the best of our ability during this time so that we can continue to support you. We understand that many of you are in positions where you may no longer be able to pay for classes and our priority at this time is supporting the community. For those who are signed up for registered classes and larger programs, you will be contacted by email regarding steps forward.

WHAT ELSE CAN YOU EXPECT FROM US?
We are blessed with an amazing community and together we are much greater than apart. You can expect us to do what we can to connect the community so that we can support each other through this time. If you need help e-mail or phone us and we will do what we can to assist you. Our staff will still be answering the phones and e-mails. If you are a member of our community with resources to support those in need, let us know and we will work to help make the connections needed to get through this together. It’s time for us to rise up as brothers and sisters. Although this virus is forcing us to isolate we are going to meet that isolation by reaching out in a responsible way to maintain connection to you.
We are grateful for your patience as we adapt our systems to serve the needs of our community. We will be making more decisions about our programs as more information becomes available.
