55 Hour Module 2
From Deepening the Roots, we start to grow upwards. This module expands to introduce the concepts and practical aspects of teaching, and is for those with some yoga experience who want to evolve their knowledge of the practice at varying depths,
exploring some more varied levels of asana. We will engage awareness of teaching through exercises and discussion while developing additional tools to move into the role of a teacher.
This module will include the anatomy of yoga and progress further on sequencing and voicing. Classroom considerations, including both live and virtual environments, will be discussed and as a group we will develop and review the role of the teacher in these situations. Cueing will be examined further to encourage the voice of the teacher and the growth of a class. Additional yoga teaching techniques, along with adjustments will be explored. Verbal adjustments will be the primary focus, as they are pertinent in these times. We will branch further into Critical Alignment Yoga and Yin Yoga, as well as reaping the benefits from diving deeply into the practice of meditation.
How to put together a workshop, another increasingly important aspect of teaching yoga, will help you to grow upwards. With the help of Critical Alignment Yoga props, watch your asana practice bloom with backbends, inversions and arm balances.
Guest Instructor will guide you through an afternoon meditation retreat.
