We Are Open

 

As you may know, YogaMcc wears many hats! We are following Alberta Health guidelines in all aspects of our business. Please see below for a summary of how temporary closures and re-openings affect our activities at YogaMcc.

1) IN STUDIO CLASSES ​- NEWOPEN STARTING JUNE 10

 

Spots are very limited so make sure to save your spot by pre-registering online. Pre-registering for in-studio classes is mandatory. You must read the important information below before coming back to the studio. Click here to view our schedule.

2) VIRTUAL CLASSES - OPEN

Our 26+ drop-in yoga classes per week + workshops + trainings will continue to be offered VIRTUALLY. To signup click here.

3) PRIVATE SESSIONSOPEN

Private sessions are an opportunity to commit to yourself with one of our experienced and compassionate practitioners as your guide in the safety of our sacred studio space. We have a wide variety of specialized offerings ranging from yoga to meditation to energy healing to breathwork. To signup click here.

4) BOUTIQUE - OPEN

 

Our brick and mortar yoga and meditation lifestyle boutique is open and our open hours can be found here. If you are not ready to come back in person, many of our great local and ethical products are available online by clicking here.

WE ALTER

Our classes are now offered as hybrid. What does hybrid mean? It means you get to take your same favourite classes either from the comfort of your home or at our studio, you choose what suits you best. It's always been one of our core principals at YogaMcc to meet our students where they are at and we are committed to continue doing that. You will see classes identified by [In Studio], [Virtual] or [Hybrid] when you register online.

 

WE ADAPT

 

It's always been our commitment to our community to make our space safe. Some of the adaptations we have made to our space include: 

  • A new HVAC air filtration systems that includes HEPA (filters particulates) and UV light (kills airborne pathogens) to maximize the air quality of our space. We also have additional air filtration units in each classroom. Pranayama is one of our core practices and clean air is essential to that.

  • Physically distanced spaces and limited class sizes.

  • Increased cleaning protocols with more time in between classes.

 

WE PERSEVERE

 

The only reason we are still able to provide classes is because both our students and our teachers have stepped up in a very big way to get us this far. This pandemic has taught us how resilient our community is and we know we will persevere. 

Please read the important information below before coming back to the studio.

COVID-19 SCREENING CHECKLIST

 

1. Do you have any of the below symptoms:

 

  • Fever

  • Cough

  • Shortness of Breath / Difficulty Breathing

  • Sore throat

  • Chills

  • Painful swallowing

  • Runny Nose / Nasal Congestion

  • Feeling unwell / Fatigued

  • Nausea / Vomiting / Diarrhea

  • Unexplained loss of appetite

  • Loss of sense of taste or smell

  • Muscle/ Joint aches

  • Headache

  • Conjunctivitis

 

2. Have you, or anyone in your household, returned from travel outside of Canada in the last 14 days?

 

3. Have you or anyone in your household been in close unprotected contact (face-to-face contact within two-metres) with someone who is ill with cough and/or fever?

 

4. Have you or anyone in your household been in close unprotected contact in the last 14 days with someone who is being investigated or confirmed to be a case of COVID19?

 

If you have answered “YES” to any of the above questions do not come to the studio. Proceed home and use the AHS Online Assessment Tool to determine if testing is recommended.

NEW SAFETY PROTOCOLS

General:

  • Classes are now spaced 1/2 hour apart so there is time to clean the studio in-between each class & so students do not come & go at the same time. 

  • There are numbered physical distancing markers on the floor so that students are physically distanced while they are waiting in line to check-in.

  • People shopping in the boutique must be physically distanced at all times. Please do not touch items you do not intend to buy.

  • NO change rooms available at this time. Please arrive dressed for class.

  • NO mat storage available at this time.

  • NO coat closet available at this time.

 

Arrival:

  1. First thing on entering YogaMcc, use hand sanitizer or wash your hands with soap and water.

  2. Confirm that you have done the Screening Checklist and confirm that you answer “no” to each question.

  3. Confirm that you have signed off on the new waiver.

  4. Please bring your yoga mat. Props will be available for use in the studio with the exception of blankets.

  5. We have activated the tap function on our point of sale system.

  6. Once you have signed in for class go straight to one of the marked spots in the studio. Put the top of your mat along the marker.

  7. Once at your spot, you may remove your mask.

  8. After class exit through the back door to maintain a one way flow in and out of the studio.
